Re: [ST] non ZX, but still bike question

i always seem to be alone in this opinion, but that's an awful lot
of bike for a first bike. how much does it weigh? i think first
bikes should be a) really light, b) cheap, and c) only just powerful
enough to be appropriate for the rider (based on weight, mainly). he
_will_ drop it. if he doesn't, well, i'll be damned, but he should
_plan_ on dropping it. does he really want to bang up a new, plastic
covered, bike, the first time he grabs too much front brake in a
parking lot? a GS500e is an ideal first bike. the EX500 is a close
second for those that have to have a fairing.

that being said, i've heard that the kat is now a decent
middle-of-the-road bike.
