I recommend the rectangular angulated convex mirrors that you can get in auto 
parts stores (mine are called "Blind Shot"). Stick them on to the inner lower 
corner of your bike mirrors, which show only your elbows, and adjust your 
bike mirror inwards enough to be able to see the road behind-the convex 
mirror will show you your formerly blind spot so that when an overtaking car 
or bike begins to disappear from its field of view, you will be able to see 
it directly out of the corner of your eye. Thus, complete 360 degree vision!
