[ST] Valve adjustments

Is anybody doing their own valve adjustments?  I'm curious since I am
mechanically adept and have read the procedure a couple of times.  Seems
like it should be a piece of cake.  The tool is only about $130
Canadian...I'm thinking that for the price of the tool and a couple of shims
(if the dealer won't exchange) it should be well worth it for a guy to do
his own adjustments.

Any experts out there who would like to comment?
