Hi guys...
I replaced the H4 bulbs in my ' 01 ST with PIAA Platinum Series Super
Whites. They are rated 80/80W and so I only use the bike off road ;-) but
PIAA claims an equivalency of 135/115W. I don't find they run too hot and
the alternator is certainly man enough to handle the extra load. Certainly
made a big difference and an easy (relatively) mod. As a previous poster
said, the third eye now looks pathetic!

Aw bummin'. I tried a Sylvania 55/60 "xenon" h4 bulb commonly available
at AutoZone in my 95 Trophy, and it did help a little in that the light's
color temperature was a bit whiter so it seemed to project a little
better. It claims it outputs like a higher wattage bulb? I'd bet the
same could be used in the ST...
I've also found I could run at night with the high beams on and cars
haven't once flashed me. Must be the aim? Anyone else notice this?
If someone does find a nicer looking parking bulb please post. Also, if
anyone knows the Sylvania or other cross ref number for the dash indicator
bulbs I could use that. My clock bulb went dark and I replaced with a
Sylvania 74 (I think) but it's a little bit small and I had to spread the
"feet" out to make it contact. Doesn't look too reliable.
