I've been running them for almost 18K miles on my 2000 ST. (I switched
from the stock Bridgestone BT-57s to the Pilot Sports at 6K miles.) I'm
very happy with them and don't have any desire to switch or try anything
else.
I commute about 50 miles a day, and play in the twisties on the
weekends. The tires perform well in both applications. I get about 6K
miles out of the rear tire and 12K out of the front, with great wet
weather grip and fantastic cornering in the dry. They provide good
feedback, too -- I've never been surprised by the tire.
Compared to the BT-57s, IMHO, the Pilot Sports have better grip in both
the wet and dry. They don't last quite as long (I could have probably
done another 2K miles on the rear BT-57 -- for 8K total), but the 6K
mile interval coincides nicely with the ST's service interval.
Well worth the slight additional cost, IMHO.
