I'm the same way...ride rather than clean.

I've got a few friends who clean their bikes as much,
if not more, than they ride them.  I think they are
going to rub the paint off one day.  They spend all of
their time cleaning, while I'm riding and they wonder
how I'm able to have a bike 1/2 the age of the theirs
with twice the miles.

I've had my ST for just under 1 year and I've really
*cleaned* it something like 2 or 3 times.  I've
passivly cleaned it, like getting the road grime off
of the wheels and exhaust can, cleaning the bit of
chain lube that I miss with and hits the wheel etc and
maybe the portion of the insect population that
plummeted head first into the nose fairing.
