Re: [ST] Outside storage

Sorry I can't offer any advice for storage in your
area, but I did cover my bike outdoors for the first 5
months of ownership.

I was in a similar situation when I bought my bike. I
bought my bike in the early spring with the intention
of buying a house in the summer. I bought a
Nelson-Rigg cover (XL-sized I think, it's at home and
I'm not) for the interim storage. The XL size is a
little big, but the dealer was afraid a smaller sized
cover wouldnt be enough since the bike is kinda long
compared to the other bikes they had on hand.

I had to buy a couple of 18" bungee tie downs for the
cover. On the cover, there are two holes on each side
near the bottom for such purposes. I sat the bike on
the center stand and fed the bungee hooks through the
holes and the cord around the stand to keep the wind
from picking the cover up (which it did until I did
this) and I also had enough slack left over to tuck a
little underneath the front tire.
