RE: Brake Piece

Paul,
From what I am understanding, and please correct me if I am wrong, is the
location of the reservoir or the line or both are not allowing fluid to fill
in behind the brake lever piston, so when the lever comes back out, it is
pulling fluid up from the calipers. With a straight shot into the brake
lever, the fluid fills in space left by worn pads and leaves the pistons
alone when the lever is returned to its "off" position. I too will be
looking at this tonight to see what could be done.

re: fixing the mushy brakes by raising the reservoir -- i thought the
problem with the brakes was a mismatch in the sizes of the master
and slave cylinders, so that after the pads were worn, the lever could
no longer move enough fluid to properly apply the pads. if this is
the case, i don't understand what raising the the reservoir does. am
i incorrect? can anyone explain what the height change accomplishes?
