I really hate to put a damper on this thread, but I have a 99 ST that has
always had the mushy brake problem. Bleeding them will alleviate the problem
for 3000 miles or so, but I generally don't bother as they stop the bike
just as well mushy as they do when firm. You just have more travel on the
lever.
