I haven't got the problem yet but coincidentally in this weeks Motorcycle
News in the UK the item headed Trade Secrets suggests:-
" When you leave you bike for the night, squeeze the brake lever in as far
as you can, then tie it to the handlebar using a piece of cloth. If you do
this regularly, you will notice an improvement in the feel and power of your
brakes. Having the lever held in puts pressure on the brakes and forces out
any tiny air bubbles  trapped in the lines. these bubbles can be responsible
for a squishy feel while braking, as they are more compressible than brake
fluid."
