Re: HeliBars

Joel, I'm not sure I can tell you much about riding position, I am 6' 1".
However, here's what I was told. Scoot up to the tank and lean forward to
create bend in my arms. Learn to hold yourself up with your stomach and leg
muscles. This relieved the stress from my elbows and wrists.

The Heli bars offer a lot of adjustment. Adjust them as high as they will
extend and rock them back as much as the clutch cable will allow. Relocate
the brake line to the backside of the right fork. The bar ends will strike
the front fairing slightly but don't worry about it, if you are careful, you
won't let them hit and you surely won't experience that much rotation during
any kind of riding. The only time the bar ends would come close to the
fairing will be when you park the bike on the side stand. The Heli bars
almost allowed me to sit upright in their highest position. Now that I have
just re-installed them, I use them at their lowest position, with the option
to raise them if needed, which I like to do if my wife is on the pillion. It
makes her more comfortable to have me sitting more upright and closer to
her.
