I understand your feelings!!!  I've had a hard time finding gear that
fits, but don't forget Vanson with their competition weight leather. 
They make the best fitting womens' stuff I found.  I tried Hein Gericke,
but anyone who tries it needs to be aware that their U.S. sizes are
actually smaller than normal.  You'll need to order a size or two higher
than what you normally wear--at least that was my experience.
