18 tooth sprocket

Hey all,
	I've got a 2001 BRG Sprint ST, and I believe it's got a 19 tooth from
sprocket. From reading the service manual, I saw that earlier years had
an 18 tooth sprocket. I recall that there was some discussion on this.
Any reason why they did this? In my opinion, my ST final drive is
geared way too tall. Does anyone know right off-hand what rpm
difference the 18 tooth sprocket makes? Any opinions on changing?

Thanks,
	Mark Collett
