Re: [ST] New Daytona

WHEW! I've been worried about what Triumph would do with the styling of the
new Daytona. It is actually nice looking. I had heard that Triumph was
going to make the Daytona much more angular, following the latest trend of
Japanese and Italian sportbike offerings. To me, the new Daytona's styling
looks more evolutionary rather than revolutionary, which is a good thing.
Although Triumph will undoubtedly criticize for copying Kawasaki's "hoot
owl" headlight treatment, I think it fits with the Triumph theme, like a
fairing over a Speed Triple. The additional horsepower is great as is the
weight savings. I still prefer the look of the "old" single side swingarm
even though it weighs more.

The Daytonas are fun bikes to own and ride, but definitely not as
comfortable or practical as the Sprint ST or RS.

P.S. I'm planning to bring my "old" '00 Daytona to the Eastern Rallye.
