[ST] Re: New Daytona, RS tyres and chain

I had a chat with my dealer about it today. He repeated what others have
said - that it looks better in the flesh. I'll find out when I see it on
Sunday. He also explained the new headlight: two separate lights are now
forbidden by the Eurocrats (which is why the RS comes with one disabled),
but as long as they're under ONE piece of glass they only count as one ...
hence the 'fashion' for two bulbs under one sheet. So blame the grey suits
in Brussels for the new look, not Triumph.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I had as many different recommendations as
replies, as usual ;-)

I had to decide quickly as the front is now below 2mm in places, and
starting to feel very odd in corners. Something to do with the drier weather
arriving, and my average corner speed and braking strength rising fast! The
MEZ3/4 combo sounded good but proved difficult to get, with maybe a 2 week
wait. I've always liked the GTS, but someone reported high speed worries on
the RS. So for better or worse I've ordered the new Avon Azaro II, and
couldn't find an AV27 so went with the normal AV35/36 combination, which
should be here Saturday. Wish me luck! I will report back in due course.

Can anyone confirm the correct RS chain length? My handbook says 108, but
two dealers books consulted today say 110.

Barry
