i suspect the problem is that the term "flickability" is rather
undefined, and subjective.  and even if you _were_ to agree on what
it meant, that wouldn't be proof of it's being behind honda et al's
decision to go back to dual arms.  there might well be other aspects
of handling that it affects more -- suspension compliance, for instance.

in any case, i doubt anyone disagrees that lighter is better.  i thought
the primary reason for single sided arms was for faster tire/wheel
changes.
