First Impressions.......
Hi All,
I have owned my ST for just on 2 weeks and 1800kms now so here are my first impressions and some questions.
Firstly, this motor is absolutely awesome!! Power everywhere, just pick a gear and stay there. Fuel consumption is brilliant! Would like to be able to take slow corners in 2nd gear at slightly higher rpm. Is this achieved with a smaller front sprocket??
Handling is confidence inspiring at low or high speed. Both high speed corners and low speed figure eights are eaten up. Forks dive markedly under braking. I know several people have done the Racetech mod to fix this but has anyone had any success with more/heavier fork oil or inserting spacers??
The heat from the fairing didn't turn out to be as much of a problem as I thought. On cold days it's quite welcome, on really hot days everything else is so hot it doesn't matter. On those days when the weather is just warm it can get a bit hot, but at least it is dissipating heat well.
I'm not telling you guys anything you don't already know but.....this bike is brilliant. I just can't stop getting out and riding it. My wife is starting to forget what I look like and it's only been two weeks. Fuel consumption might be great but it costs me more to run cause I do 3 times as many km's! ;-)

ps: On the left hand side of the bike is there meant to be a cap on the end of the axle?? There is a hole on mine that just looks like it should be covered. Anyone know if this is the case of if that's how they are?
pps: I'm due for new tyres. Has anyone used Bridgestone 020's and have any comments?
