Actually, the bungie goes at the tail end of each bag.
I made a couple of steel brackets that sandwich the
inside plastic "foot" of each bag. Then filed an
indentation into the outside side (closest to the
center of each bag). The bungie then holds the two
bags tightly to the rear fender rubber bumpers.
I sent some pics to Eric, so hopefully when he has
time, it will make it clearer.
