The proper side of the road

Actually, I read somewhere recently (how's that for vague) that when all the
vehicles in the UK, Japan and the other countries driving on the left are
added up (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, not sure about Australia?) and the
expected vehicle numbers in ten or twenty years are considered, there will
be more driving on the left than the right.

So when are y'all in the US, Canada, Germany etc. etc. going to change to
the proper side of the road? ;-)))  After all, it would at least avoid any
confusion about part numbers on left & right headlights!
