Neil,
     I doubt it would, or if it does, it would only be by the inertia of
the extra weight of the adaptor. If you tried to calculate this, the amount
would be a tiny percentage of the tolerarance of the wrench anyway.
     There are other things that are more important, like pulling on the
wrench smoothly instead of jerking on it to make it click, oiling threads,
being careful when using long extension bars, backing off any adjustments
when not in use, etc.
