OEM v. Aftermarket front sprockets



I had a look for an 18 tooth front sprocket for my ST a while ago. The
Triumph part is about 3 times the price of an aftermarket one. However the
aftermarket one was a conventional ( 1 piece) steel sprocket while the
Triumph one appeared to have a sort of cush drive between the splined &
teethed parts.

Has anyone tried both types & noted any difference ?
