Arkansas Ride

The Monsoon Ride
Back in September I put together a group of Dallas Dawgs for a ride to
Arkansas. The idea was to retrace some of the roads done on the 99 ST Rallie.
Day one started out a little cloudy but cool. We met at a Waffle House, It
took awhile to get started as Rock Dawg was having trouble getting the
waitresses phone #. Talemina Trail and lunch, some Harley people stopped to
admire our rides! Stopped Short of Eureka Springs tired, content and hungry.
Major feasting at the local sea-feed buffet. Awake to lighting and rain.
Decide to stay south of the storm line. Everyone puts on there rain stuff,
delayed again by Rock Dawg trying to get #'s of Hotel employees. Five
minutes out of town rain quits, stop again remove rain gear, I switch to my
regular gloves. I don't know what all this rain suit stuff is they do make
gortex apparel. Great riding all day even starts to get hot F 90. Stop at
Lake Washita Resort, beer run, you know the drill! Awake Rain, rain suits, I
switch to my H20 proof gloves. Rain all the way back to Dallas 8 hours at
80mph. Near Dallas encounter blue north'er it starts to get cold, everyone
experiencing different degrees of cold and wet, put on my elect. vest, a real
life saver! If you need to choose between elect. Grips or vest get the vest
no? Everyone had a great time. Rock Dawg do you still have those #'s ?
Uploading Pictures for you homebound types ;-)
