Naw Tom,

rant on..
Lets see, my '88 FI Ramcharger(318 Hi-Po) 10 mpg empty or full, uphill
or downhill, highway or local, then there was a '79 Ford Ranchero
(427CI) 11 mpg empty or full, uphill or downhill, highway or local. A
chevy Suburban (350 FI) '86(?) 8 mpg empty or full, uphill or downhill,
highway or local. The best one was the '80 F-100 (300 six 4speed) 4x4
I'd get 16 mpg empty or full, uphill or downhill, highway or local. I
got a Mercedes for now, it gets 21 mpg in town and 25 mpg on the highway
empty or full, uphill or downhill. The St gets 50ish per empty or full,
uphill or downhill, highway or local so where would you rather spend
your hard earned dollar? ... rant off

The difference is I can now afford to rent one when I need one. I could
in the worst case bother a friend that does feels good about paying far
too much money each month to the petroleum companies, if that haul
couldn't wait.

If I had to pay by the litre I'd only ever motorcycle or pedal. Thank
G-d for low fuel costs. Unless OPEC does cut its production then we all
will be paying higher fuel costs again.

Besides, I enjoy to looks I get when I pick up furniture and large
parcels, then strap them onto the top of a 60K$ car thats got 210,000
miles on it, and can light em up thru 2 gears.

Peace,
Andrew
