Plus I think by putting a better power plant in there you would
start to sway some of the guys sport touring on the ZX11's, ZX9r's,
900rr's and alike (not the r1 thought, no worries from that one).

If you could get the ST to within 90-95% of the acceleration of
the litre sport bikes, with all the handling you would need, but
through in the fact that the bike is comfy enough for serious
touring. Add in a touch of marketing, we could see a lot more
Triumph on the roads.
