I would pull the fairing and see what the backside looks like. Look for 
cracks or other damage on the backside. Also, check the tabs on the front 
edge of both large fairing sections (they sit under the black radiator 
shrouds) - they are easily damaged and if broken, I would just ask for 
replacement panels.
