[ST] RS.....Fantastic!
Just a quick note to say thanks to all those who replied to my Daytona
versus RS comparison. I was at the dealers last night and test rode the RS
and thought it was brilliant. The seating position was pretty much perfect
for me and I suffered none of the sleepy hand syndrome that I used to get on
the Daytona.
Handling wise it obviously felt softer than the Daytona, but I thought it
was much easier to throw around the twisties and almost more confidence
inspiring than the Daytona. In terms of performance I reckon the RS is
pretty much perfect for real world riding. Obviously it didn't have the top
end rush of the Daytona, but frankly I virtually never used that anyway. It
felt like there was a lot more torque lower down on the RS and that I really
enjoyed, because I could actually use it!
So having advertised my Daytona on Monday, one happy punter has just ridden
way on it today and paid the price I was asking.....and I've just got off
the phone with my local Triumph dealer and will be picking up my new Lucifer
orange RS next Wednesday, complete with a £1000 of Triumph accessories
included in the price.
I am one happy bunny, except for the fact that I want my RS NOW!!
Andy
