summer riding pant

Could any one suggest some riding pants for summer only use? They need to
be something that you can wear over normal pants, the job frowns on jeans or
leather pants. I also know that after a long hard day some dense users I
won't want to change clothes and spend any more time there. I don't really
care whether they're textile or leather as long as they work once I'll be
happy. The addition of riding armor would be a big plus also.
I recently bought a Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket for these hot dawg days of
summer, but after a recent street luge I would like something for my legs
now too. I never thought of wearing any riding pants before; it is amazing
how quick that changes when you skid across some pavement. Got lucky with
only minor road rash on my left shin and elbow; and a snapped shifter with
the required sandpapering of the left body panels.
Why can't dealers stock shifter pedals and linkages on their shelves?
It's not like they take a lot of room or even cost an ungodly amount. So
far I've been sidelined because of the snapped shifter for 2 weeks now.
I'll have to call the dealer in Detroit( where the luge event happened) and
inquire where these parts are then have them shipped to me in NJ. Barring
any more delays or extra-curricular riding activities I still will be at the
Ralleye, even if I still have the newly redesigned left fairing panels.

TIA
