[ST] clunky shifter

Yes, my ST has only 1500 miles on her, but I do need to adjust the clutch
to help smooth out my shifts. I did some adjusting at the lever, but I'm
wondering if it makes any difference if I continue to use up the range of
adjustment at the lever only ( for convenience's sake) or if I should
adjust at the gearbox end alternately. If that's the case, how do I make
the changes at the gearbox end? The manual is not too clear on this, and
in looking at the mechanism I'm confounded by what appears to be 2 lock
nuts- 1 left, one far right, a central adjusting nut ? and a bracket in the
middle. My hopes are to get a bit more free play in the lever without
using up all available adjustment at the lever.

Thanks
