Re: [ST] Rear brake

Guys,

This sounds like the debate of the five blind men trying to describe an
elephant. There is validity in most all of what has been said except I
don't understand the mullet thing.

Using the rear brake while turning can help create quicker turn-ins and help
settle the chassis by partially compressing the rear suspension. The key to
all of it is to do it smoothly.

Some of what was described sounds to me as though the rider is using a "late
apexing" technique which simply speaking is in fast, hard braking, hard turn
fast on the throttle. This is very effective but it's a heck of a lot of
work. Best suited for the more youthful and or physically fit. The rest of
us should probably practice being smooth and quick. Much better for your
overall Karma.

Zac
