A friend of mine, on his Thunderbird, and I, on my (at that time) Trophy 1200 
had a bison experience a few years ago in one of the parks, possibly Custer, 
on our return journey from a 3-flag Classic run, which had ended in Moosejaw. 
We were in a lineup of about 15 cars, which was held up by a herd crossing 
the road. Feeling slightly more vulnerable on or 2 wheelers, than the rest of 
the group in their cars, we did a U-turn and headed back for the park 
entrance. I wondered at the time if we were being unnecessariiy cautious, but 
on reading this thread, I see that we were not. Dave Collins, San Diego.
