Re: [ST] Oil Substitute?

The normal Mobil 1 15w/50 for cars at Advance Auto or your other local parts
store does not have the 'EC' or 'Energy Conserving' rating. There is no need
to spend more for the motorcycle branded Mobil 1 or for Triumph's Mobil 1 4T
(funny that Triumph doesn't seem to know the weight of their recommended
oil, as it's printed differently in several of our manuals!!).

Bottom Line: Just make sure the Mobil 1 15W/50 you're buying is not rated
'EC' or 'Energy Conserving'. It will work just fine.
