Re: [ST] distance riding



Not having perforated leathers, when I encounter temps in above the mid
90's, I soak a t-shirt in the sink at a gas station and then wear it under
the jacket.

I've also found that what gets the butt tired more than anything else is
pants or underwear that don't breath and then they stick and bind. I used
to have some leather motorcycle pants that were lined with a satin like
material and they were real good for long days in the saddle. The Triumph
pants I have now are lined with a material that probably breathes better,
but it is so rough that it abrades my knees on long rides. I finally had to
remove the knee pads and have my wife sew something smoother in the knee
area.

There is some special motorcycle underwear being sold, I saw it on a rack
at the dealer in Montrose while I was waiting for my new tire to be
installed. They look a lot like bike shorts without the extra padding.
Anyone tried them?
