RE: [ST] Re: brief Triumph appearance in movie

Guess so; I thought it kinda looked like a duc as well, from the trailers,
but this snippet seemed to indicate otherwise. Looks like www.trww.com
(some tomb raider site?) was wrong, as several people seemed to have
confirmed it a TRX 850...

"Movie Motorcycles 29 September 2000 / 21.05 GMT / AngelJ
According to a major motorcycle web site, there may be several motorcycle
scenes in the Tomb Raider movie. The bike being used is the Triumph Speed
Triple, the same motorcycles that were used in the film Mission Impossible
II. Triumph supplied the motorcycles and Hollywood is now using these
motorcycles to their fullest as they will be used in another film or two
that will follow Tomb Raider."

Ooh, here's another article (http://www.esportbike.com/news/mi2.html):

"Triumphs also will be featured in an upcoming Mel Gibson film, though the
bikes will be seen only in commercials as he plays a sales executive who
handles their advertising. Christopher Wagner is also negotiating to get
Triumphs into the new Tomb Raider live-action movie, in which Angelina Jolie
is slated to play the buxom, computer-generated heroine, Lara Croft.
Gentlemen, start your engines."

Looks like the negotiation failed...
