RE: [ST] Garage door opener



I bought a trip meter reset switch from the dealer and mounted it opposite
the tachometer from the factory switch. Then wired it to a 12VDC garage door
remote, hooked up to the bike's power supply.

Looks factory and is completely out of the way. I can post pictures if you'd
like.

I followed the advice of someone on the list last year (sorry... can't
remember
who's idea it was).  I bought a small garage door opener at Home Depot
(approx
2" x 1" x .5"), and mounted it to my ST with velcro under the right side
panel,
just below the right grip (you know... that flat spot of the panel just
right
of the gas tank).   It works great... it's easily accessible with one finger
(looks like you're squeezing the fairing between your right finger and
thumb).

I can take a picture of it if the description isn't good enough.
