[ST] ST pros and cons #2

Horrible resale? Well that's the penalty for being an idiot and not
recognizing a great bike when you're riding one.

Buying motorcycles is always a bad investment so I guess we are all
idiots. A friend told me that he wanted to buy a Harley-Davidson "because
you don't lose money on them when you sell them". Duh! Ride to resell? Ride
what you like to ride. If it is less expensive, you can always invest the
difference (in REAL investment opportunities) and make money. My ST was
$10.5K with the bags and luggage rack in '99. Harleys (the most desired)
are/were closer to $20K. If I wasn't so poor (had to get a loan), I could
have invested the $9K in something that makes money.
At last check, I'm getting 42+ MPG with many miles of smiles. Seems like
a good investment to me.

Regards,
Bob
