RE: [ST] Back Protectors

Sorry I took this long to get back to you about this but....

I have the Bohn (a copy of the Knox) in my Aerostich, I got the 7 plate
(the bigger of the two available for the 'Stich) In a decent tuck I do not
notice the back protector at all. Also, atleast in the 'Stich version, the
is a large cummerbund (sp?) that might help keep the protector down. I have
not had experience with the Dianese stuff, so I cannot comment personally on
quality, how ever another version of the Knox (or maybe it is the Knox) has
European approval, so it might protect better than the other, but do not
know for sure.

Having said all that, I do like the Bohn. It is sturdy, seems to have the
right material in the correct spots and the deciding factor for me was that
it went right into the Aerostich.

Does anyone have any knowledge of Knox back protectors vs. the
Dainese backspace series? The Knox has to be replaced after going down once.
Is the Dainese the same? Also, what about comfort? I currently have the
Vanson back protector in both my CSRV and Velociraptor Pro-Perf. The problem
is that when I'm in a tuck position the top sticks in my neck and forces my
head farther forward than I would like. It is driving me crazy which is why
I would like to go with either the Knox or Dainese. Any knowledge would be
appreciated. Thank you.
