[ST] Re: Bonnie for Sprint

Lets see, you bought the wrong bike for yourself (apparently without a
testride or reading the numerous roadtests in the press) bring it back to the
dealer and expect a close to even swap for a used Bonnie and a Sprint RS.
The MSRP on the Bonnie is $7000 and is is $9500 on the RS. Reality is that if
you had bought the RS first you probably would have gotten it for close to
the price of a new Bonneville, taking market supply and demand into effect.
Now you're basically screwed unless you want to sell the Bonnie yourself,
which may not be so hard considering there is waiting lists at most dealers
for the bike.

I just traded in a 96 Adventurer for a leftover RS and was not overly pleased
with the trade in value on the Adventurer, but the classic triples are not
greatly in demand, and the leftover RS was a pretty good deal. Eventually you
will not be happy unless you get the bike you enjoy riding.
