[ST] for Patti - Poo on Booh

  Deahpatti;

        My son Don had problems similar to, and elusive as, yours
with his RS when it was new. After spending a couple months in and
out of the shop his dealer, Santa Cruz (Watsonville) Triumph, ended
up replacing the entire wiring harness on his Sprint. That was
several months ago and he's had no trouble since. Seems the
connector between the front and rear sections of the harness had
become corroded, or some such, possibly in England before shipment.

        He also had a leaking fuel sender that had to be replaced.
On the other hand, I bought the first RS sold in So. Calif. (Jan.'00)
and have never had any problems at all in 9,000+ miles,... I think
it's the way you people hold your mouth! =8o)

        Call him on his cellphone (he's never home) at 831-818-4314.
He'll be happy to talk to you about it and the symptoms certainly
sound  identical.
                     Good (or at least better) luck;
