Hello Rick,

The noises at idle are caused by the alternator cush drive and starter motor
gears.
The new Daytona and Tiger have the alternator on the end of the crank and
the starter motor setup is also different on the new 955i engine. These
engines are very quiet at tickover, no rattles at all.
