Actually mine is significantly smoother from 2,000 - 3,000 rpm than it is
from 3,000 - 3,5000 rpm where, despite a recent service and the latest tune,
it seems flat and harsh. I'd rather keep it ticking over at <3,000 rpm
around town and try to avoid 3,000-3,5000 rpm. Hopefully it will get better
with age as other STers have related.
