[ST] RE: Use of the back brake

"Bottom line: Forget about the back brakes unless you are going less than
15
mph."

The rear brake on my 99 ST is quite good and I use a combination of brakes
at least 60% of the time. If you are riding right, you are not using your
brakes much in normal operation. (meaning you should be using the right gear
for engine braking and driving out of corners - I have followed donnydogood
and was SURE his brake light was out). When you do need them, a combination
of both works best. Use of the front only will drive the front down and
reduce clearance. I don't know, but the theory of using only the front brake
seems like a lazy way to ride a motorcycle. That back brake is much more
effective than some seem to feel.
