Jenna and I had a nice 200 mile ride up to the Carpenters Bluff railroad
bridge on Saturday before it became too hot.
A few thoughts..
#1 The ride is more enjoyable when you dont run out of gas. This is the
first time I have ever run the ST out of gas and when you are out it stops
very fast without much warning.Worked out good though as the bike quit just
as I was turning onto a county road that I use to connect to another FM
road. Road turns north and a driveway is to the south. No one home until 5
minutes later when the farmer arrives and helps me with a couple of gallons
to get me to the next town of Tom Bean....which was only 6 miles away.
.....I really thought I could make it.....
# 2 Word it still out on the airhawk. This is the first time in a while
Jenna has been on the bike (well me too ) and she thinks it helped but we
need to try it more.I did not try it yet.
#3 Double Bubble installed the night before. So far I really like
it.....seems to increase the comfortable speed by about 10mph so 80 feels
like 70 now from a wind standpoint..I wonder if the cops will buy this:)
Trophy pegs worked well for Jenna .
New Joe Rocket Speedmaster gloves were very comfortable.
Hope everone had good weekend.
Robert
