[ST] tires

I looked through the archives and the consensus seems the be that the
bridgestone BT57 ties aren't too popular. I was wondering if anyone had
any failures. I had the rear one come apart on me today after about 2200
miles of use. I check the pressure on wed and it was fine. It went flat
and I went for a bout a mile before I cam to the conclusion that it was
running low on air. By that time the treadsstarted pealing off and it
clearly got overheated. I can't see any punctures though so I am
at a loss for what happened. It is possible it got a slow leak I
suppsoe and was going flat and overheated before it had catastrophic failure
but I think I would have noticed if it was lower than it should have been
and it didn't seem to handle any differently on my mountain ride throughout
the day.

In any case I guess I will talk to the dealer when they open on tue and see
what they have to say about it. I'm not keen on buying tires for a bike
I just bought a month ago. If I end up having to buy a new rear tire
I might as well upgrade and replace the barely used front. Or just
get an other BT57.

Boy is that bike heavy to push with a flat tire.
