I caught the following in another Triumph list:
For those of you who change your own oil, I did some research. The stock
Triumph oil filter for the Bonnie is P/N: T1210200 and costs
$11.95 US. This is the same filter as is used on the Daytona, Speed Triple,
Sprint, Tiger and TT600.
"Purolator also makes a compatible filter; P/N: ML 16817. These are $5.49
from Pep Boys. An excellent or superior filter at a much cheaper price. Also
this filter cross references with many Japanese bikes including: Honda
CBR1000F, PC800, VTR1000F Super Hawk, GL 1300/1500, Kawasaki Vulcan, 500/600
Ninja and W650 (yep - same filter), Yamaha Royal Star, etc... Because of
this (especially the Gold Wing reference) these are also available in
chrome. To find a chrome oil filter, go to:
<http://www.jcwhitney.com/productnoitem.jhtml?CATID=64732> . The part number
in JC Whitney is 06ZX5750R and their price is $6.29 . The bad part about JC
Whitney is the shipping charges are $9.95 for the first $149.99 so if you're
only buying one filter, it's not worth it..."
I don't know if it is accurate info, but it might be worth checking out.
