THE ONE THING that you definiteley need aside from the obvious protective
gear is a good rain suit. Or mabey that is obvious too but I went 35000
miles without one, have one of the Triumph Chevron ones now & wish I'd
bought one long ago.
I've wondered about getting a rainsuit. I have a Triumph jacket and
perforated jeans that zip together in the back, as well as the boots. I have
ridden with this on in some heavy downpours and stayed perfectly dry. (even
the perfs on the jeans kept me dry) I would simply pat everything dry when I
got home. The leather was pretty much dry by the time I got off the bike
anyway due to windage.
I bought some leather cleaner and conditioner to keep things protected. Am I
going to ruin my leathers if I occasionally get them wet? They seem to be
holding up fine and look new still.
