My original didn't leak and gas gauge would hang out at the full mark but
once it began its quick drop down to 1/2 tank or so, from then on it was
accurate.  Fuel sender replaced only because it was recalled and the bike
was in for 6000k servicing.  Now, still no leak and gas gauge works as
before.  I still sometimes get the telltale whining noise when I turn the
key but it is less frequent and of shorter duration.
