Congrats on your purchase, Mike! Your new bike should not need any 
throttle at all to start, warm or cold. However, I've found that some 
folks get impatient and let off the starter button too early -- the 
engine doesn't fire up on the first tick-over. Try counting slowly to 
three while holding the starter button down.

If it really, truly won't start without any throttle, then your dealer 
will need to make some adjustments.
