The tank should be filled up before the mount is screwed on. With the 200
mile  range of the Sprint ST I don't see this as a problem.

As I mentioned earlier, my main goal was to get the camera position as far
back as possible, so I could have the widest view of the cockpit. Given the
cost of the equipment I use, I feel a lot more comfortable having a solid
mount.

In the past I've tried a few other mounting places, the most interesting
was extending a tripod off the back rack so you could see the riders back
and the view ahead. I like to keep the lense behind the fairing though, as
it is then somewhat protected from road grime and bug splats.
