Robert,

I dropped by the Cdn Tire in New West today and picked up the Freeway
Blaster (same model number as above). Did you notice that they have another
one that is almost identical (model # F72102)? There are several minor
differences however, the main one being that the F72102 has a higher 'note'
(same 132 db sound level). By the way, I only paid $26.99 CDN. There is
also a slightly cheaper one that is only 125 db.

Was there any particular reason you chose the 'low note' version?

When holding the two replacement models side by side, the high note version
horn flares in the opposite direction (counter clockwise). It also appears
that the electrical connectors on the back seem to be positioned in a
different spot. I have no idea if either of these slight differences affect
the installation as I have yet to go near my bike, but I kinda doubt it.

I thought about the 'note' difference and decided (for the moment) to go
with the lower note (maybe cagers will think I am a Mac truck!). In any
event, I was assured that if I wasn't happy I could return it for a cash
refund (now that's a first for Cdn Tire!) or I could try the other one.

Since today happens to be my birthday, it will probably be tomorrow before I
can report back.

Neil
