Also, take the two bikes to a prodominently Harley Rally, and see which one gets a positive attention and which one gets negative attention.  I went to a Harley rally last month, had plenty of people giving me thumbs up, while a couple of jap sportbikes showed up and got glares and backs.

don't remember who it was but will say this much.  I'm 36, and have a ticket free record and at the time of insurance quotes and accident free record.  I was quoted 2000/year for the VFR, 458/year for the ST.  This is full coverage including uninsured motorist (which is a must in Texas).
